About us

Powerboat team

Powerboat Caribbean was founded in 2015 by Ron Stafleu and Remco Dammers. With their experience at the company Powerboat Scheveningen in the Netherlands, they set out in 2015 to realize their dream on Curaçao.

In 2017, they transferred the company to Irvin de Jongh and Tamara Blonk. Irvin was born and raised in Curaçao, where he could be found on a boat from a young age. Tamara has a background in inland shipping and grew up around water. Together, they run Powerboat Caribbean along with the team they have built over the years.

Kapitein Irvin

Irvin is our barbecue expert and experienced captain. He was born and raised in Curaçao. In his free time, he enjoys boating and loves to travel.

Kapitein Tamara

Tamara handles reservations and marketing, and she also really enjoys boating. In her free time, she loves working out (CrossFit), reading, and spending time with friends.

Kapitein David

David is our cheerful and fun-loving captain who’s always up for a laugh. He has a great passion for snorkeling and being in the water. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and PlayStation.

Crew Benji

Benjamin (Benji) is known for his friendly chats and great taste in sunglasses ;-) He loves snorkeling and making jokes.

Reserverings Kapitein Ester

Ester mainly works behind the scenes, handling bookings, administration, and planning. She also really enjoys joining the tours for a relaxing day out after all the office work. In her free time, you’ll usually find Ester at the beach with her baby or at home with her baby and dogs.

Intern Justin

Justin is our social media and marketing intern from January to June 2025. His last name isn’t Bieber, not Case, not Time... Besides spending time on the boat and in the office, he enjoys playing football and hanging out with friends.
